University Of Ibadan’s Dean Of Arts Faculty Slumps And Dies In Market

The Dean of Faculty of Arts at the University of Ibadan, Professor Kolawole Olu-Owolabi aged 51 today slumped and died at Mokola Roundabout Ibadan.His body has been deposited in the mortuary.

The death of Professor Olu-Owolabi will be the third in two years in the same Faculty. In Nigeria’s premier university, founded in 1948.

 
According to some reliable sources at the university, the dean, who came out of his car at Mokola with the aim of buying something suddenly collapsed.However, the people around called the police who responded immediately and took him to an unknown hospital where he was confirmed dead.

Woman Stabbed Stabbed Husband To Death Over Infidelity

A 27-year-old woman identified as Osas Omorege has been arrested by the police in Bayelsa State for allegedly stabbing her husband, Chukwuma Iwu, to death in the Azikoro suburb of Yenagoa the state capital.
The woman was said to have taken the action due to marital relating to infidelity. It was gathered that trouble started when the wife of the deceased suspected he was having extra marital affairs due to his alleged late night outings.

  This man was caught at Tipper garage near Gwarimpa in Abuja yesterday with a dead baby stuffed in a suitcase. They said he was arrested on a tip off… but another source said that the conductor of the bus he entered asked him to bring his suitcase so it can be stored properly and the man vehemently refused. The suspicious conductor asked him what was inside the suitcase and he refused to say. As the man tried to leave the bus, the conductor and others seized the suitcase from him and found the dead boy inside.

Another Female Student from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Chioma Obikel Nwosu Shot Dead

23 year old Chioma Obikel Nwosu was a 400 level medical student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Anambra State. She was shot by unknown gunmen who stopped the car she was traveling in on Friday August 31st.
Chioma was trying to escape when she was shot. She later died in the hospital. Chioma will be buried this Thursday September 13th in her hometown. May her soul rest in peace.

58 Year Old Woman Strangles Friend To Death For Snatching her lover 16 years ago

A 58-year old woman, Josephine Jacob, has been arrested and charged to a Lagos court for allegedly strangling her friend, Mrs. Margret Ndidi, 59, in their home at Shasha, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria. This happened 16 years after Josephine’s bitter experience of losing a lover to Margret whom he married. Josephine reportedly went inside Margret’s one room apartment at 19, Omo Olore Street, Mosalashi Bus Stop, Shasha, when she was sleeping and strangled her.
She was arrested and arraigned before YabaMagistrate’s Court where she is facing murder charge.

Pastor Isaac Komolafe and wife, Olasunkanmi, have been remanded in prison for inability to produce their friend’s two children in their custody since September 2010.
